Where are the men in silver wigs
who shout symphonies?
Are they hiding in
campos, courtyards and
herringboned crevices?
I hear them walking,
whispering cello-ed steps
in their heels, clicking
chisel calloused humor
virtuoso-ly cocky,
peek-a-booing child games
behind mimes white hands,
fingers to divine to age
like memories of ironic love lost,
pungent like cheese.
